BBC pundit and former England star Gary Lineker was once again left in awe by the contribution from a Liverpool player in the Champions League.
What appeared to be a concern away from home in the group stage of the competition was put to bed on Wednesday as the Reds secured a thumping 4-1 win in Belgium.
Jurgen Klopp was perhaps under a bit of pressure to see his side finally win on the road after two seasons without a result of that kind at this stage of Europe’s elite club competition.
Thanks to a sublime goalscoring show from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Liverpool got exactly the result they wanted against what was actually a fairly stubborn Genk outfit.
The English attacker has been working his way back into action after spending a long while on the sidelines due to injuries.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s fine second goal from long range had pundit Gary Lineker applauding him.
Absolutely sensational finish from @Alex_OxChambo. Superb.
