An enthralling 90 minutes in the Merseyside derby came to an end as Liverpool were held to a draw by rivals Everton at Goodison Park.
The Reds started the game 2 points behind defending champions Manchester City and failed to reclaim top spot after a disappointing result.
Liverpool still have difficult games against Tottenham and Chelsea to come and Jurgen Klopp’s side cannot afford to drop any more points if they want to have any chance of winning their first league title in 30 years.
Mo Salah missed a golden chance to break the deadlock in the first half and his first touch let him down in the second half as Everton dealt with the Egyptian with relative ease.
The Toffees arguably played their best game under Marco Silva and if it weren’t for Virgil van Dijk’s brilliant defensive performance, they could’ve found the net as well.
Here are the reactions of some of the Reds’ fans after a disappointing outing at Goodison Park.
Terrible substitutions from #Klopp. Has he lost the plot? Lakhan’s should not even be on the bench

Am I disappointed? Yes very.
Do I think it’s over? No but I’m not as confident as I was.
Will city drop more points? Yes of course and so will we.
Should klopp go if we don’t win the league? No because he’s up against the best team the leagues ever seen imo.
We go again,YNWA.— Stephen Harris (@HarrisStephen22) March 3, 2019
Klopp should take responsibilities , and not blaming the wind or something like this ??
He was poor on team selection , and poor on substitutes ?#lfc #eveliv— Hened Çollaku (@henedersonn) March 3, 2019
I've said this from the start that from Everton til the last game of the season, we should NOT DROP ANY MORE POINTS!!!!
Seems Klopp has lost the plot and now have officially given away our lead to Man City.
Performed like a bunch of bottlejobs.
Grow some bollocks. #EVELIV

Liverpool are the only English top-flight team to ever lose just two games and not win the title (2008-09). Not sure how you can improve on that. Hang on wait

Keita’s poor season is actually the biggest problem for Liverpool right now. He was supposed to replace what Coutinho and then Chambo gave them

We are still here, you’ve always deserved the title, but doesn’t mean you’ve already won. We will still keep chasing, if you win your next nine games, well done…but real Liverpool fans don’t give up no matter what, cheers
