Klopp responds to comments from Germany after Bayern game

There has been a lot of comments, both positive and negative, coming from Germany since Liverpool thrashed Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich 3-1 in their own back yard.

After Nico Kovac’s statement about Jurgen Klopp spending more money than the Bavarians, the Liverpool boss has found himself an admirer from the Bayern camp with club legend Franz Beckenbauer having some kind words to say.

The former European player of the year claimed that Jurgen Klopp was the manager that thought the Germans how to play fast football. Beckenbauer also expressed his desire to see the former Borussia Dortmund boss manage Bayern Munich somewhere down the lane but Klopp was quick to distance himself from the role.

The Liverpool boss was delighted with Beckenbauer’s comments and was quoted saying “There is no bigger legend in Germany than Franz Beckenbauer,” Klopp said in response to Beckenbauer’s remarks.

“It feels great he speaks positively about me. It is just like the king with his sword calling a man ‘sir’.”

However, Klopp quickly changed his tune and claimed he was happy at Anfield.

“So far, it has worked out, and hopefully it will last a lot longer.

“That would be cool. We are very happy about the situation and very positive about the future. We are fine with what we’ve done so far, but now we have to finish the season the best way possible.”

Liverpool fans will certainly love to see their boss commit his long term future at the club and his comments will surely be welcomed with open arms.
