‘He’s a phenomenal player’: Klopp told to sign star who could ‘fit in well’ at Liverpool

Ex-Manchester United star Kleberson is telling Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to chase the signature of his experienced countryman Dani Alves this summer.

After being troubled by injuries so frequently, Nathaniel Clyne has lost his place as first choice right-back at the club, handing young defender Trent Alexander-Arnold the role as a result.

Last season’s marathon of a title race showed what it means to have a deep squad and Jurgen Klopp’s task this summer will be to at least secure quality back-ups for his starting players.

Dani Alves was allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last term and is yet to find a new club, as he approaches the twilight of his illustrious career as a top level footballer.

The Brazilian star has played in Spain, Italy and France, winning 42 trophies in total, leaving England and Germany as the only major destinations he is yet to ply his trade at.

Alves will be available on the cheap this summer, and his countryman Kleberson believes a move to Liverpool would be worth it.

“I wanted to get Dani Alves to join me in the MLS! He’s a phenomenal player with amazing quality,” he is quoted as saying by the Express.

“I feel maybe could fit in well at Liverpool and Klopp would like him as a style of player.

“He’s very technical, fast and has an incredible temperament in the big games. He’s a winner.”
