First-team snubs, lack of game time, and lack of high-level experience are definitely the issues which are hindering Liverpool’s Welsh wonder-kid Ben Woodburn’s development at Anfield at the moment.
There is little doubting the enormous potential of the 19-year-old winger who made his debut for the Wales senior team aged just 16. Perhaps, it might be the perfect move for him to gain some much-needed experience on loan, as reported by the Mirror.
West Bromwich Albion are currently the top contenders to loan the Welshman but there are reportedly several other Championship sides who are very interested in taking the pacey winger on loan with Wigan Athletic being one of them.
Liverpool may still take their time to make a decision after an apparently failed loan move to Sheffield United last time out. But if keeping him closer to home could harm his progress, then moving Woodburn on loan could be a viable option.
