Ruud Gullit has spoken in awe about the attacking force that Jurgen Klopp has put together at Liverpool, with the Reds once again in contention for major honours this season.
Liverpool started last season on the back of the disappointment of losing to Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League in spring 2018.
That season though, the Reds announced themselves as one of the forces to be reckoned with in European football as the likes of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane finished the campaign as the three top scorers.
What followed the near-miss of the 2017/18 season was an almost perfect 2018/19 campaign which saw the Reds become champions of Europe, after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.
Following that success, there is no doubt now about the quality of Liverpool’s attack and Gullit believes Klopp’s blue-print might be copied by rival clubs.
“Jurgen Klopp has three absolutely class acts in his front line with Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Firmino.” he said, as per the Mirror
“Everyone of them is capable of making the difference in every match Liverpool plays.
“The great idea behind Klopp’s tactics is that the rest of the team is playing just to aid these three giants. They are a superb trio.
“I think other teams will be looking to get three very fast forwards then copying Liverpool.”
