‘What I hear is’: Hamann says Liverpool plan on signing £100m-rated star next summer

Former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann has claimed that the Reds have a ‘great interest’ in bringing Borussia Dortmund star and England international Jadon Sancho back to England by next summer.

The 19-year-old started his career with Manchester City before choosing to move to Germany as he joined Dortmund in search of a chance to break into the biggest stage of European football.

Sancho, a £100m-rated man, was indeed a vital part of the Dortmund team which challenged Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title last season and the winger has become one of the most sought-after talents in the whole of Europe.

The Englishman managed to rack up 13 goals and provided 19 assists last term and so far this season, his brilliant form has continued as Dortmund fight for glory with a youthful side once again.

Sancho is bound to be chased by a host of clubs and according to Hamann, there are talks of Liverpool making a move to sign the attacker next summer.

“What I hear is that Liverpool has great interest. I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties,” Hamann told Sky Sports
