Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson has given a hint over how he feels about the decision of Jurgen Klopp to let go of promising starlet Rafael Camacho this summer.
The 19-year-old had been struggling to make a first team berth and after his frustration over the continued lack of opportunities boiled up this year, he finally opted to say goodbye in the summer.
Last month, Sporting Lisbon agreed to pay £5million up front for the midfielder, who was limited to just two appearances for the Liverpool first-team during his time at the club.
Due to his undoubted potential, the deal with Sporting Lisbon, which could rise to £7million – depending on league and European success – could prove to be a regretful decision from Jurgen Klopp in the future.
And Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has hinted of that, after picking out Camacho’s qualities, which the Reds will now be missing.
“He is a young man with incredible potential and personality,” Alisson told Record via Sport Witness. “He was already showing this at Liverpool by training on an equal basis with the more experienced players.”
