Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson Becker has hit back at manager Jurgen Klopp’s comments after the win over Brighton on Saturday.
The Brazilian has arrived at Anfield as the man to finally solve Liverpool’s long-standing problem with goalkeepers.
Alisson showed off his outfield skills during the match against Brighton, a moment which Klopp admitted after the game that he was not happy about.
However, the new Liverpool goalkeeper believes his ability with the ball at his feet actually suits the team’s style of play.
“I try my best to help the team in the build-up,” said Alisson.
“If sometimes there is a situation where there is dribbling, I do it carefully.
“It could be too risky, but it’s part of the game, we are a team that plays from the back with the ball on the ground.
“That’s part of the team’s characteristics. Mistakes may happen, but we work hard during the week to everything correctly during the matches.”
