Blow as Klopp confirms key Liverpool stars will miss Cardiff game

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will be without two of his key midfield players for the match against Cardiff City in the Premier League.

Klopp watched his side get their Champions League season back on track on Wednesday as they thrashed Red Star Belgrade 4-0 in response to the 1-0 defeat away to Napoli in Italy on the previous match day.

Attention will now be switched over to Premier League football where the Reds are sitting in second place in the table, with the same number of points earned as leaders Manchester City, who are only top based on goal difference.

Prior to the game against Cardiff City, the Liverpool boss has confirmed that the likes of Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson will not be available for selection due to injuries.

“[Keita and Henderson] will not work out for tomorrow, for sure not. Both are in a good way but will not be ready for then.” the Liverpool manager said.

“I think that’s it pretty much. The rest – apart from Ox and Rhian – should be available.”
