Mohamed Salah has been phenomenal since he joined Liverpool from AS Roma last summer and has scored 64 goals and has provided 25 assists in all competitions so far.
The Egyptian broke the record for the most goals scored in a single season last campaign as he won both the Golden Boot and the Player of the year awards.
Salah, on paper, looks to be on course for another season of him leading the top scorer’s charts in the Premier League as he sits just 1 goal behind Sergio Aguero with 17 goals so far.
However, the Egyptian is on a horrible drought in the league, having failed to score or assist in his last 5 games.
His performances have been widely criticised by fans and rivals alike on social media and a lot has been said by pundits regarding his solo runs.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was among the ones to criticize Salah after his dismal performance against Fulham and was quoted saying:
“He has been selfish and greedy, no doubt. Nobody has been involved in more goals this season he’s been a constant threat.
“But two or three times today he’s got to get his head up and see what’s around him.”
With only 7 games left in the Premier League, Liverpool need Salah to be at his absolute best if they want to beat Manchester City for their first title in 30 years.
