The sporting director of Borussia Monchengladbach has revealed that Liverpool are one of the destinations his want-away forward Thorgan Hazard could move to in the summer.
Jurgen Klopp has remained coy on the subject of whether he will be keen on signing new players at the end of the season even if the Reds do manage to win the Premier League title.
The Reds have had a magnificent campaign but there is no doubt that the squad does have its flaws and if money is indeed available, it might not be a bad idea to spend on new recruits in the summer transfer window.
Borussia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard, who is of course the brother of Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard, has been linked with a move to Anfield in the past.
The winger’s future in Germany has remained uncertain heading into the summer and speaking on that subject, the Bundesliga club’s sporting director Max Eberl admitted Liverpool are one of teams he could join.
“Thorgan has informed us that he doesn’t want to extend his contract and that he wants to leave the club in the summer to take the next step,” Eberl told Sky Germany
“That’s the way it is for us.
“We’ll have to see where his path will continue. I don’t know whether it will be at Dortmund, who are constantly being mentioned, or at Atlético Madrid, Liverpool or another club.”
