Mohamed Bouhafsi, a correspondent for French broadcaster RMC Sport, has reported that the Reds are closing in on a deal to sign young French defender Billy Koumetio.
This has been a quiet transfer window for Liverpool so far and that was definitely expected after the incredible start which the team has made this season.
The club is still known for having one of the best youth set-ups in Europe and therefore, any opportunities to sign promising young players are rarely turned down by the Reds.
Mohamed Bouhafsi is claiming that Billi Koumeito, a youngster who has been rated very highly in France, is now closing in on a move to England.

The teenager, who featured for French giants Lyon and is now at Ligue 2 side US Orleans, will now be part of a Liverpool youth system which has developed several players over the years.
Jurgen Klopp has been linked with other targets this month but the club seems to be rather interested in low-profile deals thus far.
