‘He’s had enough’ – Sky pundit says this Liverpool star is making it all about himself

Former Chelsea and Arsenal star Ashley Cole has provided his opinion on the player Mohamed Salah has become ever since he decided to leave Chelsea five years ago.

Liverpool bought the Egyptian international from AS Roma in an expensive deal back in the post-season transfer window in 2017 after a couple of fine years in Italy for the winger.

Salah was in absolutely sensational form for the Reds during his first season at Anfield as he helped the club reach the final of UEFA Champions League against all of the odds.

A year after his sublime debut campaign in a Liverpool shirt, Salah is still up there competing with the best strikers in the Premier League.

The ex-Roma star ended his drought with a brilliant solo goal against Southampton recently before smashing home an absolute cracker in the win over Chelsea on Sunday.

After that performance, his former teammate at Chelsea, Ashley Cole, was asked about the difference he had noticed in Salah’s quality ever since he left Stamford Bridge.

And Cole suggested that the Egyptian star is now a ruthless player who seeks personal glory more.

“I saw him in training and the ability that he had, but he seems to have become more ruthless.” Cole said, speaking on Sky Sports on Sunday

“I don’t mean selfish in a bad way, but he wants to score goals, and that’s his job, to score goals. Even when he plays with Firmino and Mane, they play well together, but I think he’s become a little bit more ‘it’s about me’.

“He’s had enough of the other players in his shadow, he wants to be the main man. You’ve seen when he was going through that streak of not scoring, he was hungry to score.”
