RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi, the same journalist who broke the news about Fabinho’s switch from AS Monaco to Liverpool last summer, has claimed that the Reds are back in France for another possible acquisition once again.
Jurgen Klopp still has a decision to make on whether he will keep Divock Origi or not, after already sanctioning the departure of striker Daniel Sturridge last week.
That means the Reds may have room for another attacker to come in and thus, Mohamed Bouhafsi (Liverpool Echo) has reported that Liverpool are in negotiations over signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
The Ivorian winger enjoyed a superb season for the French club last term, scoring 22 goals and recording 11 assists in Ligue 1 as his side secured a place in the Champions League for next season.
Lille discusses with Liverpool. Off the record, Lille confirms that. The player is talking to Liverpool. Liverpool is not all alone on the player. Now we are waiting for his decision.
