Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has picked out Adam Lallana to be the man who is capable of playing what he deems as the ‘Jorginho role’ next season.
The Reds manager is going into the new campaign with a number of options to choose from in midfield after the success in Europe last term.
Klopp has the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Geoginio Wijnaldum and even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain available in midfield.
But after the 3-1 win over Bradford City in pre-season, the Liverpool boss appears to have another man in mind to replicale Chelsea star Jorginho in his midfield.
Klopp has suggested that Adam Lallana is the man who has the passing and technical qualities to mimic what the Blues’ £50m signing from last summer can do.
The Reds boss even went on to joke that if former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was to find out about his comments, he might make a bid to sign Lallana for Juventus.
“Adam is the kind of player who can play that and he enjoys this ‘Jorginho’ role – I hope Maurizio Sarri doesn’t see the games or he will make an offer.” The Mirror quoted the German as saying
