Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has received another boost after yesterday’s victory over Newcastle with star attacker Mohamed Salah now confirmed to have escaped a ban by the Football Association.
The Egyptian star has been in sublime form this season, leading the Reds to the top of the Premier League table as they sit above closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Salah has attracted many plaudits this season but he was criticized by some on Wednesday for appearing to dive to earn a penalty in the win over Newcastle.
In fact, based on a rule which the Premier League introduced last season to retrospectively punish players for simulation, Salah could have faced a two-match ban ahead of Saturday’s game against Arsenal at Anfield.
But the Reds’ talisman has been let off the hook by the FA, and it has been confirmed that Salah will not face any action from the country’s football governing body for the incident on Wednesday.
