‘Liverpool have made an offer’: Club official reveals Reds’ approach for player

Ahmet Agoaglu, the president of Trabzonspor, has revealed that Liverpool have indeed made an offer for Ugurcan Cakir over a potential deal to sign him.

Alisson Becker has made himself the undisputed first choice goalkeeper as expected, after moving to Anfield from AS Roma in the summer of 2018.

Even though the Reds are not desperately in need of a new man to be in goal, it is certainly a necessity to find a capable back-up for Alisson.

That particular motive is what saw Jurgen Klopp make a move to sign free agent Adrian very late in the transfer window last summer.

Nonetheless, the Reds may feel they need an even better understudy to Alisson and therefore, Klopp appears to be pursuing Ugurcan Cakir at the moment.

The 23-year-old happens to be a very promising prospect and to make things even more interesting, the president of Trabzonspor has revealed to the media that Liverpool have made an attempt to sign the goalkeeper.

“There are offers for Cakir, we continue to receive offers. Liverpool have made an offer,” Ahmet Agoaglu has admitted, as quoted by Turkish Football

“So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my ‘keeper.”
