Liverpool’s £60m-rated target Ruben Neves has spoken about the Reds after playing against them in the Premier League last Sunday.
After beating Newcastle in dramatic fashion in the penultimate week of the league season, Liverpool ensured the title race would only be decided on the final day of the campaign.
That is when the Reds turned up against Wolves, a team who have been an absolute thorn in the flesh of the so-called big six for much of this season.
Liverpool did not have much problem seeing off Wolves though as goals in each half of the game saw them win 2-0.
After the match was done, Liverpool target Ruben Neves recognized the fact that the side he had just played against was indeed ‘a great team’.
“It was a difficult game. We all know what Liverpool is, how Liverpool play, but I think we did a great game,” he said, as quoted by HITC
“We lost 2-0 but mainly in the second half we controlled really well the game. We had our chances to score, but Liverpool is a great team, they had a little bit more go and unfortunately we lost, but we left with a great performance I think.”
