At some point last month, Liverpool looked like they would not have much to celebrate about despite having a great season.
After the first leg of the Barcelona tie in the semifinal of the Champions League, the Reds were realistically starring at a season without any silverware.
But the comeback in the second leg of that affair and the 2-0 win over Tottenham in the final of the Champions League has handed Liverpool the reward they deserved from a stellar campaign.
To add the icing on the cake, the Reds have also pocketed record-breaking revenues in excess of £250million for the 2018-19 season, as per the Mirror.
Liverpool’s big earnings means this is the first time that the club has managed to gather a profit of a quarter-billion after their exploits in the two major competitions last term.
At this rate, Jurgen Klopp might have enough funds to shop for a top-quality attacking player to replace the departing Daniel Sturridge in his squad.
