Liverpool suffer new injury blow ahead of international break

The Reds have been dealt a new injury blow ahead of the international break with midfielder Adam Lallana having to pull out of the England squad.

Liverpool have made a perfect start to the new season, after winning all four of their opening games in the Premier League so far.

Jurgen Klopp stated after the 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday that he would probably need to rotate his squad and use fringe players in the upcoming busy period which will see his side play big games domestically and in Europe.

But, based on a report by the Mirror, the Reds will now be sweating over the fitness of Lallana who has been forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a groin problem.

The former Southampton star saw his season ruined by fitness worries last year before failing to make England’s final squad for the World Cup during the summer.
