With only days now left in the transfer window, the Reds’ squad is set to be trimmed down, while some fans await the possibility of new arrivals as well.
Back in the 2017/18 season, Simon Mignolet lost his place in the starting eleven to Loris Karius, who later fluffed his lines in the Champions League final to prompt the signing of Alisson from AS Roma.
Mignolet spent last term as a back-up for the Brazilian shot-stopper, but his time at Anfield is now coming to an end. Based on a claim by respected Times journalist, Paul Joyce, the 31-year-old is on course to leave the club this week.
Joyce is reporting that Mignolet is set to undergo a medical on Monday ahead of a move to Club Brugge.
