PSG president finally responds to Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool talk

PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has issued a strong and defiant response to talks about Liverpool potentially making a move to sign their prized asset Kylian Mbappe this summer.

The young striker truly announced himself as a global star a year ago as he helped France win the FIFA World Cup for the first time since their success in 1998.

Mbappe only moved to Paris Saint-Germain just two years ago, but his enormous potential has seen all of Europe’s big names maintain an interest in taking him away from France.

Liverpool’s success in the Champions League last season has placed them up there with the top clubs once again and they would be valid candidates to lure him, if the youngster had to choose a new destination.

The Reds are reported to have made an approach to sign Mbappe (Daily Mail), but PSG’s president has responded by insisting the striker is not for sale.

“He wants to be involved in our project to grow with the team, the club.” he said, as quoted by the Standard

“But I have explained to him that you do not ask for responsibility. You have to go and get it, sometimes even tear it off from somewhere else. You don’t wait, you provoke.

“As he is very intelligent, I am sure that he has understood…

“I am not 100% sure, but 200% sure (that he will not be leaving). I am not going to let go of this unbelievable player.”
