Liverpool look set to miss out in the race to sign Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini, with both Juventus and Inter ready to go head-to-head for his signature.
The 21-year-old, who joined Roma from Sassuolo last summer for just £8m, has emerged as one of Serie A’s brightest young talents and he has plenty of admirers.
Liverpool are leading the Premier League charge, while the midfielder also has interest from Spain.
But, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus and Inter are set to go head-to-head in the race for his signature.
The Italy international has a release clause of just £22m in his current Roma contract and it appears that both Juve and Inter are prepared to stump up the cash in order to lure him away from the Stadio Olimpico.
