‘The information we have’: Sky journo shares what he’s heard about possible Liverpool signings

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has shared his knowledge about what Liverpool’s plans for this summer transfer window are after a very successful campaign for Jurgen Klopp.

Following last season’s triumph in Europe, it would be reasonable to assume the Reds have an adequate amount of funds to spend on transfers this summer.

With players like Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno being cleared out, Jurgen Klopp might feel it is necessary to land one or two new signings to balance the squad.

So far this summer, the Reds have been linked with various high-value players, but the club is yet to complete any major deals in the transfer market, with pre-season ongoing.

Kaveh Solhekol has stepped in to share what he has heard from sources. The Sky Sports journalist claims some signings might be made but they will not be marquee additions.

Based on Solhekol’s word, ‘galactico’ type deals (possibly like Coutinho or Nicolas Pepe) are not what the club is chasing at this point.

“The information we have from our reporters in Liverpool are that Liverpool won’t be making any Galactico type signings this summer,” said Solhekol, as quoted by Live4Liverpool

“What they may need to sign is a back-up left-back as Moreno has left, maybe a back-up right-back if Nathaniel Clyne leaves and maybe a back-up goalkeeper if Simon Mignolet leaves.

“Lots of ifs and buts, but no Galactico type signings for Liverpool this summer.”
