The four players who could be out for Liverpool against Everton

Liverpool take on Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp revealed the team news on Friday as he faced the press ahead of the game.

The Reds are sitting just a point above Manchester City and will look to keep the pressure on the defending champions with a win on Sunday.

The Reds will be without Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain while Dejan Lovren and Roberto Firmino remain doubtful to feature.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training with the squad but is far from full fitness after being out for close to 10 months. He is however expected to be fit by the end of the month.

Dejan Lovren is very close to a return after a thigh injury but the derby on Sunday might come a bit too soon for the Croatian. He is expected to return to first-team action after the game at the weekend.

On the brighter side for Reds fans, Roberto Firmino has a chance to make it to the derby and faces a late fitness test.

Klopp revealed that the Brazilian had started running this week and looked very good but was cautious about rushing him back.
