In an interview ahead of the Champions League final, Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed the player at Liverpool whom he hates to play against.
Alexander-Arnold has grown into a vital member of the Liverpool defence after a breakthrough season last term which saw him feature in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The young defender shrugged off any concerns about his age by showing an impressive level of maturity to become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
However, there are of course certain players whom Alexander-Arnold does not enjoy facing, and some of those stars clash with him in training every week in the Liverpool squad.
In an interview before the Champions League final, the Englishman has revealed that Sadio Mane is that man he does not enjoy to play against.
“Sadio has really stepped up this season when we’ve needed him,” the England right-back told the Liverpool Echo when asked to assess the abilities of his club colleague.
“His form has been outstanding and he’s been so consistent. It was great to see him share the Golden Boot with Mo and he deserved that recognition.
“He’s a big reason why we collected so many points in the Premier League and were able to sustain a run right through to the final in Europe.
“It’s been the most prolific season of his career with 26 in all competitions and he’s scored some crucial ones along the way, not least the two in the win away to Bayern Munich.’
