Jurgen Klopp will be absolutely delighted to see his key defender Joe Gomez return to training ahead of the team’s next fixture against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Liverpool boss has been forced to rotate his back line for quite a while now due to Gomez’s long injury lay-off.
At the start of December, the centre-back, who had forged a very strong partnership with Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Reds’ defence, suffered a terrible ankle injury which immediately required him to undergo an operation.
Having spent several weeks on the sidelines while his team chases the Premier League title, the Englishman has finally returned to training.

Gomez will not be expected to play in the game against Tottenham, with even a bench appearance not likely given his near three-month absence, but with six games scheduled for the club in April, the young defender will surely have a role to play soon.
