Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk had a simple and clear message for the Everton faithful after the 1-0 win in the Merseyside derby on Sunday evening.
The Reds had watched title rivals Manchester City move five points clear at the top on Saturday as they defeated Bournemouth at the Etihad stadium.
After suffering a frustrating loss away to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, Liverpool were certainly not full of confidence going into the derby at Anfield on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp made a few changes to his team to face the Toffees but despite creating a number of chances, the game looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw.
But thanks to a scuffed effort from Virgil van Dijk which bizarrely ended up with Divock Origi heading the ball into the net, the Reds did find a vital late goal to keep up with Manchester City after all.
It was another day to be proud a Red and so Van Dijk did not turn down the opportunity to let the neighbours know exactly what the colour of the city is at the moment.
