According to a confirmation made by the Football Association, as reported by Sky Sports, Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has suffered a back injury while on international duty with the Three Lions.
It has also been revealed that the young right-back has now withdrawn from the England national team’s preparations for the matches against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
This will definitely be some worrying bit of news for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as his team are involved in a very competitive title race with Manchester City where any dropped points due to injuries to star men could prove to be extremely costly.
The 20-year-old will now have a couple of weeks to rest and possibly recover for Liverpool’s Premier League fixtures after the international break.
With Nathaniel Clyne not available to fill in if needed due to his loan move in January, Liverpool are not exactly spoiled with many options in the right-back position.
